Day 13’s Topic: Christmas.

Well, it’s the big day! Merry Christmas, everyone!

Because it’s the 25th of December, I am going to write out 25 wonderful, random memories from Christmas throughout my life. In no particular order of significance. Perhaps these Christmas memories growing up are not that exciting by any means, but heck … these random memories are still pleasant and precious to me nonetheless.

Now without further ado.

1. Getting to stay up all night because it was Christmas time (my dad normally would not let us stay up at nighttime.)
2. Playing video games with my little brothers. Super Nintendo. Nintendo 64. The works.
3. Getting cool gifts on Christmas.
4. Getting to eat my mom’s excellent, homemade and authentic Vietnamese cuisine like phở. Yum.
5. Playing out in the snow.
6. Building a snowman with my little brothers.
7. Playing with the neighbor kids during Christmas.
8. Hauling snow at my grandma’s house with my little brothers, trying to build a snow fort.
9. Snowball fights.
10. Drinking hot chocolate.
11. Eating all kinds of junk food like chips and pop (my mom normally didn’t buy much pop throughout the year when I was a kid.)
12. Going sledding down hills.
13. Sliding down hills without a sled.
14. Playing all kinds of “war” and “tag” games in the snow with the neighbor kids.
15. Checking out the new toys the other kids in the neighborhood got.
16. Ordering pizza (my brothers and I loved pizza) as a real treat for the holidays.
17. Bundling up and staying warm in the comfort of a bed.
18. Lazy Christmas days, just relaxing.
19. Taking care of my pet bunnies during the snowy days.
20. Seeing beautiful snow days.
21. Learning stuff about life during winter.
22. Watching Christmas specials on TV.
23. Going with my mom to buy all kinds of goodies and treats at the grocery store for the holidays.
24. Not caring about Christmas break homework (why do teachers do that, anyway?), and just taking it easy.
25. Spending time with family.
